Curacao selection in Jamaica for last round Caribbean Cup
The Curacao National selection, consisting of 10 players from the Netherlands, five from Curacao, one from Thailand, one from Italy, two from Belgium and two from Romania, has gathered in Jamaica and is in preparation for the Final Round of the CFU Men’s Caribbean Cup 2014. Curacao starts in Pool A with opponents Cuba, French Guiana and Trinidad and Tobago. Pool B consists of Antigua & Barbuda, Haiti, Martinique and host country Jamaica.

On the day of the final November 18, the top four teams from the tournament will qualify for progression to competing in the prestigious CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The fifth-place team will compete in a home-and-away play-off sequence against a fifth-place team from the Unión Centro Americana de Fútbol (UNCAF), with the winner advancing to the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Meanwhile, for the very first time, the CFU Caribbean Cup winners will secure an automatic berth into the prestigious Copa América Centenario scheduled to be played in 2016
