Feliz would double his tally and put his team ahead in the 39th minute  making the score 2 -1 in favour of the D.R.

Curacao would show great fight and equalize in the 59th minute of tournament top goal scorer Nathan Bernadina tapped in a ball from wide making it 2 - 2. Bernadina would then continue his excellent tournament form in the 64th minute by giving his team the 3 -2 lead.

As the Dominican Republic committed players forward searching for a tying goal a late counter attack from Curacao late in stoppage time saw Luchently Vrutaal score from a wonderful individual effort as he dribbled around 2 players and the Dominican Republic goalie to score in the 70th minute making the final score 4 -2 ."
