Patrick Kluivert signs up for Curacao National Selection

As of March 5, 2015 Patrick Kluivert is part of the team preparing the Curacao Naional Selection for their first matches against Montserrat in the WC 2018 Qualifiers in the Caribbean Zone. A win means Mr. Kluivert will stay on for the next round against Cuba in june 2015.

Mr. Kluivert, ex-international and assistant to Louis van Gaal in the WC 2014 for the Netherlands, is nominated as advisor, but he indicated that this might change into head coach. Matters like staff formation will be discussed with the FFK and TD Etienne Siliee soon. A provisional players list with 30 names on it  was presented, containing 7 local and 23 players active in the Netherlands and other countries.

In a room full of journalists from local media and from the Netherland, Mr. Kluivert expressed his contentment with the job on hand, and highlighted his special bond with Curacao (his mother was born on the island and family still lives here).

March 27: Curacao - Montserrat
March 31st: Montserrat - Curacao
