Girls U-15 reach quarterfinal of CONCACAF Girls U-15 Championship

The Curacao team won all three matches in the group phase of the 2016 CONCACAF Girls U-15 Championship and will go on to the second round.

First, the Curacao selection beat Anguilla with a score of 3-0. Staygin Stephens (1) and Lindsey Hart (2) scored the goals. The second match against the US Virgin Islands was won with a a score 6-0. Staygin Stephens scored again, Riesmarly Tokaay scored twice and Lindsey Hart three

Curacao’s last match was against Barbados, which team also had won the first two matches. An all-important match because the winner would go on to the quarterfinals. The Curacao team kept its cool and again Staygin Stephens opened the score. Jathsury Rosa scored twice, and settled the match at 3-0.

The Curacao selection will play against Canada, the winner of Group B in the quarterfinals. This match will be played on Wednesday August 17 at 11.00 am.
