Curacao selection wins friendly against Achilles '90
The Curacao national selection won the friendly against Achilles '90 1-0 today.
It was the first match with Remko Bicentini as the new head coach of Curacao. Bicentini, Kluivert's assistant during the last two matches in the Caribbean Cup and a longtime member of the staff, was content with the result. ,,We played quite strong and managed to play our game. Keeper Eloy Room and Civard Sporckel did very well in the defense, and Kemy Agustien and Leandro Bacuna dominated the midfield area. Dustley Mulder and Jason Wall created many oppportunities. We should have scored two more goals actually."
The Curacao selection will participate in the third round of the Caribbean Cup in October. The team will play against Antigua & Barbuda at home on October 5th, and away against Puerto Rico on October 11th. The Group Winner qualifies for the Final in 2017. Best three runner-ups will compete for the fifth ticket to the final in the play-offs in November 2016.
