CONCACAF Grassroots project Kick-off

The CONCACAF Grassroots project had its offiicial kick-off on September 1, 2016.
Over 45 coaches and leaders turned up to participate in the Grassroots Course with instructor Vin Blaine from Jamaica. In the afternoon, the localmedia got a chance to be informed and ask questions in a Meet the Press wit CONCACAF Development Director Hugo Salcedo and Development coordinator Cristhian Tonelli. Hugo Salcedo emphasized the importance of grassroots both for the community at large and football development itself. After all, the young players are the next generation, both socially and football-wise.

The delegation will meet with stakeholders from the government, sports institutions and private parties in order to create a broad platform for the project. CONCACAF initiates and finances the first phase, but the idea is that the nation will take over from there.
