On their way to Montserrat

Our national selection is on their way to Montserrat. After the 2-1 home victory on Friday March 27, they now have to defend that small advantage on the island of Montserrat om March 31.

First by charter to Antigua and then after a few hours wait, by ferry to the vulcano island inhabited by 5900 people only after 8000 people left the island after the vulcanic activity of 1995 which destroyed the capital Plymouth. The Montserrat Football Association hower is able to select players with Montserrat ancestry from the English Leagues.

The matches between Curacao and Montserrat are the first round Qualifiers in the Caribbean Zone.  It is a knock-out round, winne rtakes all and continues into the second round, another knock-out against Cuba home and away.
