Girls U-15 sent home by Canada in Concacaf Championship
The U-15 national selection did very well in the 2016 Concacaf Championship on Orlando. The team won all three matches in the groupphase and ended as nr 1 of their group and as such qualified for the Quaterfinals.
Our girls were matched to Canada, one of the best teams in the world in that age category. The Curacao team gave their all but the match ended in 10-0 in the advantage of Canada. Canada reached the final after beating Mexico 3-1 in the semifinals. In the final the USA team beat Canada 2-0.
At FFK we are content with the growing progress of girls' and women's football. It is great to see the development efforts translated into results on the internationals fields. This young generation has obtained invaluable internation experience and we expect to see more of them in the near future.
