All set for U-20 Qualifiers Group 5 Round 1!
All teams are on the island, all officials too and yesterday the final meeting of the Technical Committee was held. In this meeting all stakeholders were present (FFK, Concacaf, teams, Police, Medical, Security) to discuss all the details of the tournament and to present uniform and material. So all is ready for the kick-off tonight at 19.00, when Cayman Islands and St Kitts & Nevis will face each other on the field of the SDK stadium. At 21.00 Curacao will play against Anguilla.



It is the first step on the road to qualifying for the World Cup U-20 in New Zealand. The tournament on Curacao has to determine which team of group 5 will continue to the next round. The other four groups have already played the first round and Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Aruba have qualified for the second round. The second round is the last round at CFU-level which will take place in Trinidad & Tobago in September. If the Curacao selection wins her home tournament, they will end up in a group with Cuba, Aruba and the second-best nr 2. Best two of each group continue into the Concacaf Qualifier Tournament In Jamaica with teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean will fight for one of the four tickets to New Zealand.
