Opening Liga MCB 2014

The Liga Lito, Curacao’s highest soccer league had its kick-off on Sunday March 16^th. The kick-off started with the traditional defile of the Curacao Youth teams accompanied by a brass band parading into the stadium.

This season is dedicated to the club Jong Colombia, because it is 45 years ago that the club from Boca Sami, as Caribbean Champion, was entitled to play for the CONCACAF Championship. Unfortunately they lost the Finals, but a great and unchallenged achievement for Curacao Football anyway, hence the awarded honor.

The first match, last year’s champion Centro Dominguito against last year’s other finalist UNDEBA ended in a 3-2 win for Centro Dominguito.
